Di Giorgio make their home in Coonawarra, but like some other producers from the region, they reach a little further south to the Mount Gambier district for a few of their marques.
Di Giorgio Family Wines, Riesling, Kongorong (Limestone Coast), 2016
An elegant nose with aromas of talc, steel, grapefruit, lemon and lime. The palate is firm with tart apple acidity, bittersweet grapefruit and smoky lime before tightening up, leaving a chalky finish. A very well done effort and an absolute match for Chinese crispy pork: cutting through and yet supporting the rich flavours.
RRP: $19
Alc: 12%
