The Natural Wine Co Rosé 2017

From the dependable Windowrie. This is made from Sangiovese grapes that were “harvested in the cool of the night.” Then “only free run juice was used with exotic yeasts for fermentation. The wine was then fined with vegan friendly agents prior to bottling.” All good things. Available from RAW Wine and Beer.

The Natural Wine Co, Rosé, Sangiovese, Central Ranges, 2017

Dull peach blush colour in the glass, Vibrant nose with  chalk, pink marshmallow, cream cheese, peach tea and earthy wet sand. Easy palate, nothing out of place, nothing to offend: good balance of acidity to fruit sweetness without a need to adjust either side. Good length of flavour tucked neatly in with herby, stemmy complexity that finishes dry. A cut above.
