This is Singlefile’s “Rhone” style wine. A blend of Shiraz (82%), Grenache (9%) and Mataró (9%), 30% in new French oak, the rest in 1 and 2 year old barriques.
Singlefile Wines, Clément V, Great Southern, 2017
Rich and slick aromas: Some amaro herbs over rich plum, dark cherry, chocolate and licorice and cracked pepper. Gutsy, with a meaty streak. Generous without being overt, maintains elegance with dark richness over a graphite minerally edge and a clean, tight polished finish. Slick tannins and inherently drinkable.
