It may be a cliche, but winter is definitively time for big reds and comforting foods….
Heartland Wines, Shiraz, Langhorne Creek, 2015
Chock full of choc-berry, earthy undertones. Coconut husk, tinned plum syrup, rich, green peppery spice. It’s a satin sheet of sweet dark fruit wrapped around a full body. Tannins are toothsome before a bittersweet mocha tail curling to deep vanilla and lick of heat.
