St Hallett Lore Of The Land Shiraz 2017

A step up in the price stakes and available to one half of the grocery duopoly in Australia.

St Hallett, Lore Of The Land, Shiraz, Barossa, 2017

A tribute of sorts to the families that have grown fruit for St Hallett since 1840. Kisses of sweet oak, sugar drenched black tea, boysenberry, gum, tobacco and Chrsitmas cake. Just medium bodied without the fleshiness of other St H wines around this price point. Tight and neatly tucked in with deep blue/black fruits and drying tannins. Acidity is unexpected and a little raw. I think a little time maturing on bottle won’t hurt this value prospect.

Alc :14.5%
RRP: $22.99
Rating: 17/20
