Pinot Noir (82%) and Chardonnay (18%) from the 2017 vintage (81% of the total) blended with some older reserve wine, aged without sulphur in old oak barrels. “Méthode traditionelle” as Vigneron Xavier Bizot calls it. 18 months on lees.
DAOSA, Natural Réserve, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Piccadilly Valley, NV
Dusty red fruits dominate the nose with straw/hay, apple and light buttery pastry complexity. Red fruit profile on the palate also, crunchy strawberry and red currant with a distinct apple character weaving its way through..perhaps a result from the older reserve wines. Linear focus for long, fine finish. Quality Australian sparkling and a keen price point.
