Hastwell & Lightfoot, Shiraz, McLaren Vale, 2017
Regional chocolate and mineral graphite line through the aromas: Some coffee grounds and spiced Chai just to mix up your breakfast drinks. Juicy black cherry and almost blackcurrant with hardline vanillan essence oak. Full bodied, dour with aforementioned fruits and a briny thrust. Tannins are a touch chewy but ultimately this a sound, regional shiraz.
