West Cape Howe, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Western Australia, 2017
A perfunctory medium garnet hue in the glass. Subdued mulberry leading to blackberry with earthier tones of red capsicum, fresh leather, milk chocolate and a little cedary French oak spice. Just medium bodied and thin fruit wrapped around an almost fragile structure that offers minimal grip through fine tannins. Pleasant enough and serviceable for pizza/pasta night.
