Mud House produce well made, affordable and quality wines. The 2012 Vintage of this wine cleaned up with Gold at the Air New Zealand Wine Awards and at the New World Wine Awards. 2013 showed a strength to the vintage which enabled wine makers Nadine Worley & Ben Glover to focus on just using prime sub-regions of Marlborough.

Mud House Pinot Gris, Marlborough,2013

Golden Flax hue. Bright in colour….bright on nose. Pear sweet, furry fruit skin sweet notes. The palate brings sliced Beurre Bosc pear, ripe white stone fruit, cutting citrus and lingering spice. Does exactly what it says on the label, but gives a bit more.

Deceptively full palate: textural mouth feel that will beckon summer food with wanton abandon, like a sultry blonde on a sunday arvo/public holiday eve session eyeing the one she wants from across the beer garden.

The best way to enjoy it….outside in the sun.
