Summer. Riesling. How hard can it be? Bloody easy when you’ve got a bottle of this in the fridge.
Singlefile Wines, Riesling, Mount Barker, 2015
Sourced from a single vineyard (the Pearse vineyard) in the Mount Barker sub-region of Great Southern, Western Australia….slowly becoming a Riesling stronghold in this country to rival the great Clare and Eden Valleys.
Crushed talc, sherbert, a little “aspro clear,” lime soaps and fragrant lemon grass. The flavour is joyous. Linear, Refreshing rocks and minerals…yet with an upfront generosity of that citrus fruit. Taught and balanced: like a tightrope walker, and just as exciting to behold. The kind of wine that makes you sit back and say “ooh yeah, that’s special.”
RRP: $30
Alc: 11.2%
