Calabria are extending their range with this value for money “Cool Climate Series.” They’re all reasonably priced and as always, Riesling shows just how good value it really is.

Lime marmalade, soft soaps, mandarin pith followed by complexity: almost a little bit sweaty and some steamed dim sim peppery spice. The hallmark regional acid isn’t too shrill for the youth, there’s an amount of sweeter, mandarin, almost tropical (maybe a touch of residual sugar) along side the varietal lime and chalky texture. Finishes with a slight metallic tang, but t’is a minor note.
