Seriously have a soft spot for the wines of Singlefile and their Run Free range too. Exquisite packaging and very very well made wines. This one proving that Margaret River doesn’t have the monopoly on Cabernet in the west.

Singlefile, Frankland River, Cabernet Sauvignon, Great Southern 2013Sourced from a single vineyard in the Frankland River sub region of Great Southern, WA. Deep black olive, black currant, dusty purple flowers, Kiwi brand shoe polish and a touch of mint….yet all still fresh and refreshing. Smooth upfront, oak polish weaves into fine grained tannins. Elegant blackcurrant matched with earthy spice. Tight as a drum for the moment, yet make no mistake, this will blossom and bloom.
