Outside of Tasmania, I’d say the Adelaide Hills is fast becoming the next stronghold of top class bubbles producers in Australia, with Deviation Road a benchmark for the region.
Deviation Road, Altair Brut Rosé, Adelaide Hills, NV
Light dusty rose colour. Good smells: Adelaide Hills pink apples yeasty Vegemite ferment (in a good way), light strawberries & cream red fruit dominant. Click of the heels crisp on the tongue, the pinot gives a musky pink sherbert line whilst the mousse provides appropriate roughage. The right balance of roses and biscuity pastry. Easy to enjoy and a cut well above your entry sparkling rosé. As usual, the packaging is exceptional and classy.
RRP: $32
Alc: 12.5%
