Tahbilk Eric Stevens Purbrick Shiraz 2010

The latest release (yes 2010) and one of the flagship wines for Tahbilk.

Tahbilk, Eric Stevens Purbrick, Shiraz, Nagambie, 2010

Tahbilk ESP

Spiced white pepper, dried clove studs, dusty dry baked soil, hints of aniseed before fruit of black currant is bounced by Turkish Coffee and spicy oak. Just full bodied and carrying power as it moves. Flavour runs into the savoury spectrum and the dark side of shiraz. Regional bright light of mint, pencil and pine resin lift alongside red/black fruits. Drying tannins, the wine is 6 years old, but will sit and tick along doing its  thing. Lean without being miserly, but definitely austere.

RRP: $71.95
Alc: 13%
