This has picked up a few bits of wine show gold, silver and bronze (and a trophy) since its release, including some reputable shows, such as Orange, Rutherglen and Australian Cool Climate Wine Show.
Stockman’s Ridge Rider, Shiraz, Orange, 2014
Cabbage esque reductive nose, shaved oak, fresh dirt, licorice, soapy cherry and raspberry jubes. Chocolatey oak with cool mid palate cherry fruit before slightly fine tannins kick in. Acid is acute before a lingering black pepper and pine needle finish. Solid enough, but a little unconvincing.
RRP: $23
Alc: 13.5%
