Subtle, horticultural, yet pretty smells on the nose: freshly augured wheat kernel, sandalwood, balsa before flower blossoms and bitters. Feels weightier and spicier on the palate than the alcohol suggests: the nature of Roussanne showing through. Hints of citrusy orange bitters before peppery rocket/rucola spice. Juicy acidity and well crafted. Deliciously different and not afraid of being that way. Very good.
