According to the media release with this wine, Joel Pizzini tasted his first Piemonte Neb/Barb blend about 8 years ago and had wanted to make one ever since. Well done Joel. The Nebbiolo is from estate fruit, whilst the Barbera sourced from a trusted grower nearby. 2015 a cracking vintage in the King Valley.

Plums, wine gums, chocolate bullets with a bready juxtaposition of just-burnt toast. Juicy palate with blackcurrant, anise spice and plums all sliced up with sharp acids and drying, varietal, chalky tannins. The chiaroscuro of the two grapes give a lovely synergy. Food friendly elegance. Bottle draining ease.
