Grown on the slopes of the Cullerin Range at 700m. Note, they’ve just rolled onto the 2015s with an entirely new, much improved label.

Lerida Estate, Lake George Cullerin, Pinot Noir, Canberra 2014

Cloudy in the glass….maybe unfiltered? Black cherry, rhubarb, thyme, and a hint of blueberry. Full bodied, a little silky on the palate thanks to the alcohol. Cherry for days with toasted brown spice and medium, firm tannins. Sits a little savoury and on the browner/earthy side of the Pinot spectrum with mulchy after-flavours. The better of the two Lerida pinots I tasted.
