Good old Wynns Coonawarra “Cabernet Hermitage.” Carried the same livery since 1969. Forget the RRP, this wine almost always has cellaring potential plus….
Wynns Coonawarra Estate Cabernet/Shiraz/Merlot, 2015
Cabernet dominant with the right amount of supporting play from the Shiraz and Merlot.: Soft regional eucalypt, spiced plum, blackcurrant, blackberry, pencils, black olives, pepper highlight and a slick veneer. Fruit full and chockers with blackberry and cassis. Finishes with cherry fruit highlights and plenty of chalky tannins. Serve up with any red meat dish accompaniment and let it sing a wonderful baritone solo.
RRP: $24.99 (but bound to be found lower)
