As the Hunter Valley start the harvest for vintage 2017, the 2016 Semillons are beginning to settle into their skin.

Fruitier and more herbaceous than the The Chase, ripe almost sweaty yellow melon, verbena, lantana. Fuller bodied too, with lemon tart (the fruit bit, not the crust) and rich lime fruit pips. The acidity still zingy and undeniably Hunter but allowing for more immediate consumption.
