Salmon pink in colour. Not made from salmons. Has picked up a swag of medals and awards, including trophy for Best Rose at the 2016 Sydney Royal Wine Show.
Shingleback, Haycutters, Salmon Rosé, McLaren Vale, 2016
60% Pinot Noir, 32% Shiraz, 7% Grenache and 1% Mourvedre for seasoning. Balanced with floral red fruits and a preserved lemon tang. The grip and subtlety from the pinot ensures balance and complexity: The perfectly judged amount of strawberry sweetness to the fore with a drying chalkiness. Some pepper and spice add the right amount of dash. Hard pressed to find a better put together rosé for the price.
RRP: $18
Alc: 11.2%
