The new Patron Series range of wines was commissioned by winery owner Rex D’Aquino to commemorate the 70th year of his family’s involvement in the wine industry of Orange.

American and French oak. Dense plum, blackcurrant, sweet/smoky/charry oak, hazelnut, black pepper and cinnamon. Plenty of polish and the intent is clear but stays (relatively) subtle with black fruit dominance, bergamot like citrus, chocolate, tart acidity and fleshy tannins. Finishes with a pleasant lightness. Some time in the cellar won’t hurt it.
