The Vinkara viticultural activities began in 2003 with vineyards located around 650 meters above sea level in the Kaleick region of Anatolia. This wine is made from the indigenous grape that bears the regions’ name. I must admit it’s my first, but wont be my last.
Vinkara, Kalecik Karasi, Anatolia, 2013
Baked raspberry, salt, strawberry and red currant, sweet oak edged. Quality light red fruit palate with a little oak generosity towards the back palate. Absolutely drinkable, food friendly and a good divergence from mid weight usual suspects.
RRP: around $28
Alc: 14%
