Cat Amongst The Pigeons, Chardonnay, Eden Valley, 2016

A dull flax colour in the glass. Nose of just ripe yellow peach stone fruit, tropical fruit skin and fresh smoky oak shavings. Fruit sweet front palate with plenty of peach iced tea and grapefruit tartness. Acidity is a little sharp towards the end while the oak hovers without asserting itself. Serviceable, but no x-factor or excitement.
