Stoneleigh, Latitude, Pinot Noir, Marlborough, 2015

Smoky dark cherry aromas, baked ham meaty note. Dark blueberry fruit and slightly distracting sweet bubblegum overlaid with plenty of sappy cherries and candied orange peel. Stringy, chalky and drying tannins head out to a savoury dark fruit finish. Feels like it’s taking itself a little too seriously, but okay for the price.
