Tasted blind among a line up of cool-climate chardonnays.
Huntington Estate, Chardonnay, Mudgee, 2017
Hyper fragrant: dishwashing sweet citrus over ripe peach, barley and tropical melon. (Potentially muscat clone?). The ripe stone and tropical fruit continues through the palate tempered by pithy grapefruit and a tonic-like bitterness. The palate lets the nose down ever so slightly, but still well put together.
