Marketing eh? Potentially no need for me to write a review when you label the wine “rich and smooth.” So when your local bottleshop attendant asks you what you like, you reply “I’d like a rich and smooth Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon please,” this one is for you.
Craftsman, Rich & Smooth, Cabernet Sauvignon, Coonawarra, 2014
Slightly warm rubber, essence of blackberry, dark denim, roast chicken skin, garden herbs and black cherry. Sour acids and greasy tannins leading to charry oak, a confectionery attempt at blackcurrant and rocky blue stones. Not the most pleasant drinking experience. Plenty of better wines out there for the price (and cheaper.)
RRP: $16
Alc: 13.5%
Rating: 13/20
