Stoneleigh Wild Valley Pinot Noir 2015

I’ve been impressed with some of these Stoneleigh Pinot Noirs. The Marlborough fruit more generous than the the more regarded region of central Otago. The wine produced by wild ferment (hence the naming convention).

Stoneleigh, Wild Valley, Pinot Noir, Marlborough, 2015

Cola, choc-licorice oak, deep raspberry, cherry spectrum, black olive and fresh thyme, young rosemary oil. Generous cherry and raspberry fruit with gauze like tannins. Sits lighter than the alcohol suggests but not without a little silky note on the back palate. Medium length of flavour to finish. I’d be happy to have a 2nd glass of this.

RRP: $22.99
