Old School? More like a re-run than a re-make. There’ll always be a place for the retro

West Cape Howe, Old School, Chardonnay, Mount Barker, 2016

Old school and fun. Peachy stonefruit, popcorn, fig and creamy oak with light coffee/latte notes. Malolactic fermentation provides a fuller palate with grapefruit, stonefruit and cedary oak spice. Tricked up to be “old school” but managed acidity maintains freshness. Bittersweet with a reasonably long finish.
