One of a pair of champagne taken away for a weekend on the coast for the celebration of #MrsDrew birthday. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay
Champagne Canard-Duchêne, Cuvée Leonie, Brut, Montagne de Reims, NV
Excited and erect bead. Reasonably attractive nose: restrained oyster shell brine, warm straw, dried lemon peel, red fruit dust, soft honey and spice. As it warms, it’s like a fresh crumpet with a drizzle of honey smeared into the pores. Fine and elegant front of the body, widening ever so slightly to lemon fresh citrus and nectarine. Just enough texture with a touch of phenolic grip and strawberry kissed.
