From the cool climes of the Orange region, tasted among several Pinot Grigio/Gris.
Angullong, Pinot Grigio, Orange, 2017
Sticks to its cool climate origins: with pear slices, sweet coffee crystals, soft baked brown spice, navel orange and rocket. The palate is just heavy enough to be varietal but still feels tentative: smoky bitter orange and fleshy brown pear. Fruit falls a little short, but has enough grip to finish.
