Tasted as part of a line up of Pinot Gris/Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc from home and across the Tasman. Previous vintages have scored gold medals at Sydney International Wine Competition and the Mundus Vini International Wine Competition.
Ara, Single Estate, Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, 2016
Smoky, nutty aromas with varietal passionfruit seeds, capsicum flesh, yellow tropical melon. Juicy and saliva inducing acidity that cracks to a drying, almost austere, steely finish. Bittersweet tropical and passionfruit give some flesh. Not your typical Marlborough, a slight step up.
