Gundog Estate Riesling 2017

Gundog Estate split their time and wine pretty much evenly between Canberra and the Hunter Valley, with a sprinkle of fruit from the Hilltops region as well. The brown glass flute d’Alsace makes for attractive packaging.

Gundog Estate, Riesling, Canberra, 2017

Very pale colour in the glass. Fragrant nose with ripe finger lime, talc and sorbet. Giving so little away for the moment: the lime fruit is tightly wound among a minerally, grippy texture that leaves a long lasting impression. Patience will see the floral aspects blossom as the fruit unwinds.

RRP: $30
Alc: 12%
Rating: 17.5/20
