Annie’s Lane Rosé 2017

Made from grenache and mourvedre grapes. Winemaker is Alex MacKenzie.

Annie’s Lane, Rosé, Clare Valley, 2017

Light cerise in colour. Slightly metallic nose when straight from the fridge…opens to reveal quince and raspberry sorbet. Light musk, talc and the mourvedre provides a leafy spearmint note. Grenache fruit sweetness on the front palate, raspberry flesh before that minty fresh mourvedre. Acidity is high, almost sharply distracting at times with only the briefest of tannin in the wash. Finishes a little short and simple
