Singlefile, The Vivienne, Chardonnay, Denmark, 2014
Wow nose. Layers and layers swirl, whirl and lift. All manner of stonefruit, soft wheatmeal, flint spark, lemon butter and reinforced with a mineral, stony seriousness kissed by smoky oak. Balanced and harmonious this beams brightly with sour/sweet lemon drops, crisp stonefruit and a straightjacket tight structure: only allowing some movement. An exceptional, evocative chardonnay.
