Gundog Estate, Hunter’s, Semillon, Hunter Valley, 2017
Sourced from Tinkler’s School Block in central Pokolbin. Traditional Hunter semillon fruit spectrum aromas of lemon/lime, a touch of lemongrass and verbena soap. A softer approach than most young Hunter semillon: it is almost generous in its first taste, just enough to reel you in before cutting sharp and reminding you what youthful semillon is all about before finishing a little waxy. Well balanced between gentle approaches and traditional acidity.
