The Somerset vineyard site was selected in 1863 and planted to semillon with a Busby clone in 1965. Part of the Single Vineyard range from Gundog Estate from the excellent Hunter Valley vintage of 2014.

Vibrant but light lemon yellow colour with soft green highlights. Opens with super fresh and clean fruit lines. Redolent just scorched lemon skin releasing beautiful citrus aromas with suggestion of tropical guava and sea spray….maybe even some cooling bluestone in there too.  A wonderful balance between the implications of the projected richness that will be and the immediate crisp delicious youthful nature. The flavour carries long with fine yet intense citrus lines and an almost green apple, lip smacking juicy acidity and a parting echo of honeyed richness.  A wonderful wine that will gracefully develop much deeper.
