An exclusive in Australia to Woolworth’s stores: Dan Murphy’s, BWS and Woolworth’s Liquor. The fruit is sourced from the Wairau Valley, some parcels barrel fermented in older French Oak and left on lees for 8 months.
Toi Toi, Reserve, Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, 2016
A deep yellow colour with gold highlights in the glass. The nose for more layered than the average New Zealand SB, with fresh cut grass, passionfruit skin, light tropical fruit, lime and a dry straw bale earthiness. An almost medium weighted palate with a fruit sweet heart of pineapple, passionfruit, lime, gooseberry and lingering green plum; all rushed along with zippy acidity. A very good example of how Sauvignon Blanc should be done.
