Serafino, Sharktooth, Shiraz, McLaren Vale, 2013

A powerful expression of McLaren Vale shiraz; this makes the nasal hairs quiver with red and black fruits, cardamon spice, pepper and lifted cedary and vanilla oak influences. The palate manages to avoid being overdone as the oak on the nose suggests and thrives in the mid to full line with lifted red berries and violets. Peppered with spice, chocolate and plentiful fine tannins, this will mature over next decade, else give it plenty of air if opening young.
