Made by Marisco Vineyards in New Zealand, import and distributed in Australia by De Bortoli. The online shop for De Borts suggests they’ve just rolled over to the 2017 vintage for sale.

Marisco, 3 Tales, Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, 2016

Super fragrant and varietal. Out of the box. Pungent green melon tropical fruit with light passionfruit and vanilla. There is some intrigue with tobacco and fresh herbs. A well layered wine with good palate weight and quality fruit which takes a more serious flavour turn than the nose suggests. Yes, there’s melon/capsicum/passionfruit, but bittersweet grapefruit provides depth and citrus acid profile. Better than some, not as good as others.
