This sits second on the Chardonnay rung under the Vivienne, but is no less a wine. From the Singlefile Estate Vineyard.
Singlefile, Family Reserve, Chardonnay, Denmark, 2016
Just so white peach stonefruit, with delicate latte cream, roast sweet macadamia nut, Navel orange citrus and a hint of grapefruit pith. This wine can do nearly naught wrong, it is impeccably balanced between all chardonnay components: Richly fruited yet with a tight veins of acidity. The partial malolactic fermentation and oak treatment ensure a silken glide before bittersweet grapefruit tension. A wonderful chardonnay, and a pleasure to review.
