A little less spice for the 2016 over the 2015 (which had 1% Malbec for seasoning). Warning, this wine is dangerously drinkable.
Singlefile Wines, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Great Southern, 2016
79% Cabernet, 21% Merlot. Gives up all kinds of dark fruits: Mulberry and boysenberry and blackberry before herbal lifts of licorice, bay leaf, toasted malt and even a touch of tomato stalk. Right on the money with darkly sweet red and black fruits strewn over a wonderful picnic blanket weave of tannin finished by a smear of dark yeast spread (such as vegemite). Juicy, bright yet smoky, one glass will simply not be enough.
