Western Australia is arguably 2nd only to Bordeaux for Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc blends (I reckon we may just sneak in front on the odd occasion also.)
Singlefile, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Denmark, 2017
Takes a little shaking, but eventually opens up to give lemon drops, lemon curd, creme brûlée baked sweetness before herbal capsicum and jasmine foliage. The palate balances just enough richness with lightness. Lemongrass, lemon drops, dew-kissed green grass with an underlying textural supporting mouth feel and natural intriguing smokiness. Sails through the end with pinging, zinging acidity.
