The last time I saw a Patina Reserve Chardonnay was 4 years ago, and that was the 2008 . This release matured in 11 months in new and one year old French oak.
Patina, Reserve, Chardonnay, Orange, 2015
Medium gold colour in the glass. Far less overt aromas than the non-reserve Chardonnay: yet remains full and perfumed with lemon pith, soft honeycomb, roasted cashews, white nectarine, fennel spice, apple juice and toasty oak. Resplendent flavour profile similar to the nose, but each facet etched with fine detail. A very long tail of quality grapefruit citrus and nutty oak bound tight by regional acidity.
