Longview The Piece Shiraz 2015

The Piece Project by Longview Vineyard is a celebration of street art that ultimately becomes the label for the wine. The whole package comes in an over-sized “spray can” tin. 2017 was the first year where an all-female line up of artists, with Lisa King’s “Venus, If You Will” adorning the bottle. Only 200 dozen made. Bottled under Diam.

Longview, The Piece, Shiraz, Adelaide Hills, 2015

Stewing plums interspersed with baking spices, roasting coconut husk, crushed violets and ink. Obtuse and hard to read: Blocky tannins, tight fruit with a red currant edge, tobacco, clove and a meaty, salty tang. No denying the quality, there’s just a youthful fog over the star power that will ultimately lift.

RRP: $80
Alc: 14.5%
Rating: 17.75/20
