From two cool sites in the Adelaide Hills, Kuipto (around 200m above sea level) and Woodside (350m). A little bit of winemaking gone on here to bring some richness to the wine: partial wild fermentation in 2 & 3 year old oak, the remainder in stainless steel.
Shottesbrooke, Estate Series, Sauvignon Blanc, Adelaide Hills, 2017
Aromas of fresh cut grass sprinkled over light tropical fruit salad and lime juice. Some depth to the palate with a good amount of grip providing body to the stereotypical light tropical fruits and citrus. There’s a pleasant earthiness to the wine, while the acidity is zingy and bright without being harsh. Cleanly made.
