Part of Hardy’s premium McLaren Vale releases. The label features Bacchus astride a barrel as if on a stained glass window.
Hardy’s, Tintara, Reserve, Grenache, McLaren Vale, 2016

A fine release: dripping with spices and sandalwood: fruit full of plums, raspberries and rose petals. Supple, beguiling: fine chocolate and amaro herbs. The acidity is just enough to make the mouth water, while there’s a solid persistence of flavour and a fine rasp of tannins. Balanced, classy.
