The weight of the packaging alone gives this ‘2nd’ tier release from Singlefile gravitas beyond the fruit inside the bottle.
Run Free by Singlefile, Shiraz, Great Southern, 2016
Plush and ripe purple fruit aromas: fresh plums and dark berries with just unwrapped-Easter egg chocoaltey oak and a coconutty hint. There’s a touch of licorice and easy spice lingering too. Medium-full bodied. The palate flavours mimic the nose with fleshy fresh black plum and the right amount of spice so as to not offend or unnerve. There’s a cosiness to the wine with its easy, approachable tannins.
