Ahhhh.. Coonawarra Cabernet. Just as the evenings start to turn a little chillier. Exclusive to the Fourth Wave Wine team, made by the talented Corey Ryan
Take It To The Grave, Cabernet Sauvignon, Coonawarra, 2018
Cassis and blackberry dominate the nose while there’s leafy matter with herbal aromatic tobacco hints and savoury/sweet black olive and wet earthy influences. Oak usage gives a touch of woody cedar. The palate is fruit ripe and approachable, with plenty of juicy dark berries underscored by herbal and savoury nuances showing regional origins. Bittersweet chary coffee oak round the experience. Just a tick over medium bodied with fine tannins kept in check. Ultimately this is a fruit driven wine made with “cabernet = drinkability” as the formula.
