Hastwell & Lightfoot, Sands of Time, Shiraz, McLaren Vale, 2016
Earthy, slightly stinky meaty and sulphurous. Dusty, chalky the, aromas run from pure plum, blood orange to easter egg chocolate. Medium full, with sandy meshy tannins and plenty of blue/black fruit. A little savoury black olive rounds it all out. A little disjointed in youth, this should sit comfortably for some years.
